Cooking Instructions
- Start by finely chopping your onion and mincing the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute more.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned, roughly 7 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes along with oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour in the red wine, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any stuck bits. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for at least 20 minutes.
- Plate your sauce over cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
