Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- Brush each slice lightly with olive oil.
- Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes until they’re golden and crisp.
- Blend the softened cream cheese, chopped chives, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each baguette slice once they have cooled slightly.
- Top each creamy slice with a dollop of cranberry pepper jelly.
- Garnish with additional chopped chives before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh. Optionally sprinkle crushed walnuts or pecans on top for an extra festive touch.
